Water's Journey

This is a poem I decided to write, inspired by this years poetry day theme, water. It tells the tale of water's journey, the various places it goes, and the sounds it makes.
Please let me know what you think below.

1. Water's Journey

Drip, Drip, Drip.

Waters first words.

From the sky, their mother,

They thunder down in torrents.

Drip, Drip, Drip.

These drops soon learn to run,

Down the streams and rivers.

Their journey's just begun.

Drip, Drip, Drip.

They finally reach our taps

Where one by one they wash us clean,

And quench our thirst, perhaps.

Drip, Drip, Drip.

Now they're done with me

They'll flow through pipes, all underground,

And wind up in the sea.

Swish, Swish, Swish.

Into the ocean they're thrown.

And as instant as their birth,

the droplets vocabulary's grown.

Crash, Crash, Crash.

The water's reached the coast.

It goes all white and bubbly,

And now the sun's it's host.

Bubble, Bubble, Bubble.

The water goes into the sky.

The heat evaporates the droplets.

Up they go. Up high.

Now they're back at the start,

Making clouds above us.

All those little droplets,

They're always in such a rush.
