When Rosie throws a Halloween party, and the new boy comes, Rosie's life takes an unexpected turn.

1. Baby Blue

Sighing I walked down the hall of my school, I'm surrounded by idiots Monday through Friday. Thankfully though, fall break is this coming week, and my God am I ready for it. I should give you some information about myself, I'm not your typical teenage girl. I live in a very remote area of the state named; Colorado. I live with my mother in the city and on weekends I live with my father in a isolated area. My parents divorced when I was fifteen, and neither of them have dated or even thought about it since, believe me, I've asked.

I think it's kind of sweet how they hate each other so much that if they're in the same room for more than ten minutes, the world will implode, but at the same exact time they still long for each other's company.

"Rosanna!", I growled when I heard my full first name. Rosanna was the name of my cousin who killed herself last year, ever since then I've barked at them.

"Don't call me that", I turned sharp to face my locker.

"Sorry", I heard her mumble, "have you met the new guy?", she continued. The voice belonged I my long time friend, Molly.

"No?", I said in a question form. I met a hundred people a day, and forgot two-hundred people the next day.

"He's real cute!", she squealed excitedly.

"And?", I faced her with one eyebrow up. Molly never understood my sarcasm and even if she did she never responded to it. Molly and I met at a Green Day concert a few summers ago in Denver, she was lost and I had memorized the arena.

"And I invited him to you're party at you dads house for Halloween next week!", she bent her knees begging for my approval.

"Why would you do that?", I muffled my disappointment.

"I thought you would be happy", she tilted her head slightly.

"Well, I'm not", I slammed my locker and turned to walk away, "I'll call you when I get home", I walked off and out the double doors of the school leaving Molly inside. Looking down at my phone I bumped into someone's back pack that was hard as a rock. "Wow!" I exclaimed as I hit the floor hard.

"I am so sorry!", I heard an accent say. When I looked up I saw baby blue eyes looking right back at me. "I'm Luke", he said smiling and helping me up.

"I'm Rosie"
