"To gain your own voice, you have to forget about having it heard." - Allen Ginsberg.

I believe that it is not the writer who shapes a story - it is the story that shapes a writer. And I, well, I am shaped by the stories of my family, by experiences and regrets, dreams and disappointments, which I channel into my characters for your viewing pleasure. Every one of my characters contains some aspect of my soul, some event from my past or personality trait which I enhance. Everyone writes themselves into their stories, but the stories, they write themselves into our souls.

Hey, so as none of you know, I'm currently a high-school senior, and, as anyone who's ever been here knows, college application season absolutely sucks. But hey, it's all worth it in the end, right?

And, because I'm an extremely narcissistic person and like bragging about myself... I'm going to Johns Hopkins. I am one of 539 people world-wide to be accepted ED! I even got a sweatshirt and everything, so now it's officially official.

    mumbled "Hey, another competition story"

So, anyone who knows me knows that I have trouble sticking to one story... As soon as a new competition comes around, I'm jumping on board, creating totally new plots and characters and stories. It's the writing that I never actually get around to...

Anyway, there's a new competition, and, therefore, a new story! Huzzah!
Dear LynnDiscovering a diary of letters written thousands of years ago, Lyonel Donovan finds his life undeniably changed as he pursues the tasks and challenges...

If anybody feels like checking it out, so far I have one (very short) chapter done, but there'll be more... eventually...

    mumbled "Updated!"

I've posted the second chapter of "Eden"
EdenOne simple mistake, and Delilah Beaufort's life was over before it truly began. Trained to be a perfect trophy, a bargaining tool for the powerful men...

It's actually incredibly entertaining to me, writing something like this - I've never done a time-piece before, and the research process to make this historically accurate (or close) was quite pleasant. Depending on how this one's received, I may do more like this!

    mumbled "New Story"

    Hey peoples!
So I'm doing something new. I know, I haven't written in forever, but I'm finally inspired again - god, it's been so long since I could say that! I finally feel like myself again, like I'm done trying to pretend I'm someone else.

Anyway, my new story (and I'm really excited about this, in case you couldn't tell) is called "Eden," and it's something I've been planning for a while now - it's a time piece, so I've been doing research. I'm going to make it as historically accurate as possible! And I decided now's the perfect time to post it, since there's a competition right now that involves time pieces. So yeah, check it out if you're interested (or if you really aren't and just want to be awesome!) !!

Dean Winchester (Supernatural) + Lana Del Ray = Deana.
Because he's a womanizer, and her songs aren't exactly the battle cries of the feminist movement (for example: "Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?"). Plus, I mean they just look like a good couple to me... Although, Dean looks good with anyone, so that isn't saying much.
